Each of these destinations offers unique experiences in Kenya’s stunning natural landscape. Here are some highlights for each:

  1. Tsavo East National Park:

    • Red Elephants: Tsavo is famous for its “red elephants,” who dust themselves with the park’s vibrant red soil.

Safari Itinerary

Safari can start at Mombasa Airport or Beach Hotel at 0600hrs and then drive along Mombasa-Nairobi highway. After 100 kms you will have a short break for coffee.

Proceed to Bachuma Gate where you begin your game drive. Visit Aruba Dam, a water hole where animals come for water. Proceed with the game drive to Lodge / Camp where you will check in at around 1300hrs.

Have lunch and relax till 1600hrs after which you will start another game drive till 1830hrs then back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up at around 0530hrs , have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo.

Back to the camp/Lodge for the main breakfast at around 0830hrs then followed by a game drive en route to Tsavo West, (The second largest park in Kenya after Tsavo East) which covers an area of 9,065 km2. Begin a game drive en route to Ngulia Safari Lodge checking in at around 1300hrs for lunch and relax till 1600hrs.

Another evening game drive to the rhino sanctuary where you have a chance to see black rhinos and other animals. Tsavo West is a paradise for animals including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetah, zebras and buffalos among others.

The landscape of Tsavo west is grassland savannah with Acacia bushes with Mzima springs and Shetani larva being the special attractions. The game drive goes on till 1830hrs where you drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight

 

Wake up at around 0600hrs for a full breakfast followed by a game en route to Mzima springs where you have a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. The spring produces over one million litres of water per day.

Drive to Chyulu gate checking out of Tsavo West with a stop over at Shetani Lava for photos and proceed to Kimana gate in Amboseli 80 kms from Tsavo West. Drive to a Lodge / Camp and arrive in time for lunch,relax until 1600hrs. An evening game drives till 1830hrs then back to the Lodge / Camp for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli covers an area of 390 km2 – physical attractions are grassland savannah, swamps and a view of Mt Kilimanjaro (The highest mountain in Africa, 5,895metres). It’s also a home to elephants, giraffes, cheetah, zebras, gnus, hyenas, buffalos among others. Amboseli is also a paradise of different birds.

Wake up at around 0600hrs for a full breakfast and depart to Lake Nakuru National park driving through Nairobi City arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge late afternoon for lunch.

Lake Nakuru is alkaline a home to millions of flamingos and pelicans. Lake Nakuru covers an area of 202 km2 of which 40 km2 is covered by the soda ash lake. Physical attractions include the euphorbia trees, fever acacia forests and the landscape is a grassland savannah.

Most animals seen are white/black rhinos, lions, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, buffalos, gazelles among others.

At 1600hrs start an evening game drive till 1830hrs then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up at around 0600hrs for full breakfast. Depart to the world seventh wonder (Masai Mara) driving through a distance of 320 kms.

Arrive at around 1300hrs and make a short game drive en route to the Lodge / Camp checking in at around 1330hrs for lunch.

Masai Mara National Reserve has an area of 1,584 km2 and it’s one of the famous and most visited national reserves in Kenya. Physical attractions include Mara River, Talek River, Loita Hills, Serengeti plains and the annual wildbeest migration during July to October. The landscape is woodland and grassland savannah with acacia forests.

Masai Mara is famous for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, gazelles, rhinos, hyenas among others. It’s also attractive for bird watchers and news analysts.

Game drive at 1600hrs till 1830hrs and back to the camp for dinner and overnight a Lodge / Camp.

Wake up at 0530hrs for a cup of coffee followed by an early morning game drive and back to the camp for a full breakfast.

After breakfast proceed for another game drive visiting Mara River for hippos, crocodiles and the migration point of the wildbeest. (There’s another option of proceeding for a game drive with a packed lunch till evening).

Dinner and overnight at the Lodge / Camp.

Wake up at around 05.30hrs for a cup of coffee followed by an early morning game drive and back to the camp for a full breakfast.

After breakfast, proceed for another game drive as you exist the park and drive to Nairobi for lunch at a Restaurant , drop off at airport to catch your flight to Diani/Mombasa arriving at around 1630hrs ( 1 hour flight)
