Safari Highlights

Tsavo East National Park

Established in 1948, Tsavo East is the largest national park in Kenya, covering an area of over 13,747 square kilometers.

The park is known for its vast open savannahs, scrublands, and the iconic Galana River that flows through it.

Wildlife in Tsavo East includes large herds of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.

It’s also famous for its “red elephants,” which are coated in red dust from the park’s rich volcanic soil.

Tourist attractions in Tsavo East include the Lugard Falls, the Yatta Plateau (one of the world’s longest lava flows), and the Mudanda Rock.
