Safari Itinerary

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel at 7:30am. Depart from Nairobi at 8:30am for Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a stopover for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and lunch at Narok Town. Arrive at the park early afternoon and proceed for a game drive to view Zebra, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, cheetah and other plains game. Dinner and Overnight at Lenchada Camp/Rhino camp or available budget camp of same level with self-contained tents

At 6:30 am breakfast is served, proceed for a day-long drive in search of wild animals in a purpose built vehicle that enables you to see lots of bird life. Picnic lunch at the Hippo pool (Mara River) followed by an afternoon game drive. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Lenchada Camp /Rhino camp or available budget camp of same level with self-contained tents

After breakfast proceed to a walking safari guided by the local masai natives, you will take a walk through the community around ending up at an authentic traditional masai village where you have a golden chance to Immerse yourself in authentic Maasai culture as you visit a traditional village, accompanied by an English-speaking guide who lives there himself.

Find yourself in the midst of the daily hustle and bustle of local life as you witness the daily rituals of the Maasai. Once you have drunk your fill of this authentic cultural experience, you can choose to browse through the Maasai Craft and purchase artefacts made by the people you encountered. All proceeds from this go directly to the community. Living a semi-nomadic lifestyle, the Maasai tribe has modernized in some ways but still adheres to many aspects of their traditional culture. Established as fierce warriors, their lively cultural dance, vibrant clothing and beautifully crafted handiwork are recognized worldwide.

Later depart masai Mara with picnic lunch on the way. Pass by Lake Naivasha for boat ride safari, you will travel in the boat in the company of a resident birding expert who will help you identify some of the region’s 400 species. From the boat, keep your binoculars peeled for numerous birds like the pink-backed pelicans, the goliath heron and the saddle-billed stork, & docile wildlife like the zebra, hippos, wildebeest, giraffe, water buck, and more. You will pass near Crescent Island where Out of Africa was filmed. The film brought the animals to the island and they’ve stayed safe from predators, increasing their number on this wildlife only island.

Later proceed to nearby Nakuru Lanet Matfam Hotel or Golden Palace Hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Proceed for an early morning game drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for large flocks of flamingos, white pelican, Ibis, Egret, Marabou stork. Other animals like the rare black rhino as well as Rothschild giraffe are also easily spotted in this park. Enjoy the scenic view of the park from the baboon cliff which is a great vantage point. After lunch, depart to the nearby town of Naivasha, arrive in the evening at Taphe Resort or Dove Nest Lodge for dinner and night Stay.

After early breakfast proceed to Hells gate National park where you will have a chance to visit the Geothermal Power Plant in Ol Karia and the Hot Springs. This is the only park that allows transport by walking and cycling. Later after lunch depart to Nairobi arriving at 4pm drop off at your hotel.
