Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro river, Samburu County. The presence of the Ewaso Nyiro river attracts various wildlife species like the common big three cats; Lion, Cheetah and Leopard. It’s also a host to over 350 bird species like the sun bird, Marabou stock, Towny eagle, Vulterine guineafowl, secretary bird and many more. Other wildlife species sighted around include; Oliver baboon, Warthogs, Impalas and Grants Gazelle. There are also a number of remarkable lodges around like the Samuru Simba lodge, Samburu intrepids and Ashnil Samburu amongst other lodges that make it a perfect safari destination.
